Thirst: The Great Misconception by @TheLastJ

I tweeted some shit one day about Urkle and the Thirst and then one of my boys showed me this piece by the homey @TheLastJ.  Only right I spred the love and give you "The Thirst" from another angle and good POV.  Check it out and as usual leave feedback, we would love it.

The Thin Line Between Swag and Thirst

The Thirst is nothing new; it is the bastard child of "sweating" and "compliments". Junior High school into high school the thirst was more genuine. House phones and AOL were the only outlets to your chick outside of school. But around high school cell phones started to become regular so you had access to her 24 hours a day.  Then in college when texting became the norm along with the release of the Sidekick, you had unlimited access to vag nationwide.  With social networks though, shit it was like the parting of the Red Sea to the box, a simple poke use to get you far in the early years of Facebook.  Regardless of all the benefits the Internet has done leading you to the no pants dance with someone a few bad apples have spoiled the bunch. Take Exhibit A for example.

Swag is natural and your approach with Internet flirting can make or break you if your swag is equivalent of Steve Urkle.  Doing shit like the above has turned women off and caused the elite males to again evolve their methods of approach with the current tools in the pursuit of vag.  Let me help those who are confused on how to approach women on the web.  I am not writing this to help you get more box, I am trying to have you thirsty dudes refine your approach to avoid being the topic of discussion at the hair salon.  Yeah there are plenty of women out there looking to screen cap you thirsty niggas so lets see how to be 2 steps ahead of these vile ladies. (Note I still didn't stoop down to call them bitches, even though they are wrong for what they do).

Crowe, Davis, Obama and You

Land of the free, home of the slave. No one can argue minorities still get the short end of the stick in America. Blacks are expected to go to jail, the Spanish are expected to take low paying jobs that no one wants and Native Americans, well no one really is concerned with them. The streets we piss and spit on outside is actually the land of Native Americans, we tend to forget. Anyway I am just writing today because I am confused on some of things regarding the late Troy Davis.

I Don't Have No Title For This Shit

Simple ways to keep your man from cheating on you?  Simple ways to keep your relationship interesting? There is so much ladies can get from the topic I am about to touch I could not even title this blog.  It's sad that I do have to write this though  but it makes sense with so many young queens walking around bitter on they "Fuck Niggas" shit. #WhoHurtYou booboo?  Sometimes we have to look in the mirror at past relationships and figure out what I could have done differently. Stop focusing on how fucked up that person was and try to see your faults.  This way you can grown and work on yourself in your next situation and avoid a cycle of fruitless relationships.

The Transition to Loneliness

Times have changed greatly.  You use to be able to pull "its not you its me" on someone you are dealing with and go your separate ways but recovery times on relationships can go for months, years for some.  The abuse on the mental, emotional and physical could leave a dent on one's soul.  Maybe the two parties were just not compatible relationship wise but it still may leave a mark, especially with time invested.  Good break up or bad do you think it is possible to be friends with your ex??

Hoe Logic 101

The definition of a hoe is like trying to explain whether the glass is half empty or half full.  Regardless of your thoughts on the term there are a few things we can agree on when it comes to hoes.  Hoes have their own ideology that they follow; I like to call it hoe logic.  For the most part this logic is flawed but I guess hoes have aspirations with "successful" hoes like Karrine Steffans and Kat Stacks.  Not the most respectable women but they give hoes dreams.

The Evolution of Relationships

Men and women love to be in love.  The pursuit and approach of seeking love is totally different between the sexes, which causes the never-ending tension between men and women.  For men girlfriends just happen, there may be a woman of our interests in our life but we will not change how we act, talk, dress etc. That is until we are in a relationship you may see actual changes in a man, pussy is that powerful to change SOME men.  Women on the other hand will put their heart on the line just to say they have a man.  Change places where they hang out, how they dress, talk, even stop having sex just waiting for that special someone to sweep them off their feet so they can live happily ever after.  Unfortunately ladies it doesn't work this way if you want a boyfriend.  The sad thing is a woman will settle for a "situationship" just to say they have someone.  Not everything like a real relationship but from the outside looking in she has a shoulder to cry on, someone who picks her up from the train after work, a man who breaks her back out before the credits start rolling when they watch Netflix.  Not sure if you are in a situationship or a relationship?  Lets discuss some key factors that separate the real from the false hopes.

Pearl Necklaces, Orgies and You

Relationships require a lot of compromise and sacrifice.  It could be you allowing a plethora of testosterone to take over the living room to watch the playoffs or you taking her to see the latest Tyler Perry movie, watching it and discussing it with her after (that's love).  A major area of compromise occurs in the bedroom but should an individual have limits?  Infidelity is probably one of the biggest fears and culprits of break ups of our generation so is it worth going all out in hopes to deter your lover from stepping out?

Where is love?

Love is what we want
And if often mistaken as a need
Countless years spent
Aimlessly searching high low and In between
Have you ever looked in the mirror
To realize the presence of love can not be found
We find ourselves seeking love
But why?
Love was never lost
Love is pure and natural
But mistakenly is often turned into greed
Lusting for love same way we lust for green
We go to all extents to gain ones love
Most cases you will end up broke alone  Sometimes leads to creation of a child which requires love of its own
Love doesn't happen in mistakes like that child you created
But the prisons love to lock up niggas who seek love in all the wrong places
The epicenter of love
Is the love that you have for you
Open your eyes stop believing love is laying in the bed next to you
Because physical love can be more fake
Than china town Gucci shoes
Don't be depressed because that cute guy won't call you back
Stop texting shorty because she said your swag was everything except intact
You was born alone possibly die alone too
Save your energy looking for love
And put that energy into you

He loves me, He loves me not

Relationships are hard.  One of the hardest parts of relationships is walking away from them.  Love is such a powerful emotion.  After giving your heart to someone there is basically no limit what one will do to bring happiness to his or her mate.  Its weird though because no matter how much he/she cheats, no matter how much he beats you that person still means the world to you.  Extreme examples but that is the reality plenty of our peers are living all in the name of love.

The 3rd wheel

This is something I found in my blackberry from last Fall. Just decided to finish it so I wanted to hear your thoughts on social networks and relationships.

I always try to image life before the 90's. The fashion was definitely hot prior to the 90's but technology sucked. Can you imagine those nights sun down to sun up in your school computer lab without Google? Group projects without cell phones and email? Wild shit right, tell me about it. But the blessing of technology and the Internet is a bittersweet relationship. Now in 2010 technology we live twice, once in reality and secondly via status updates.

The Most Dangerous Black Man

Heart Disease, Cancer, Homicide, HIV the highest culprits of death for black men, some of the things I have to worry about as a black man when I rise every morning.  That's besides work, school, baby mothers, bills, rent, having money to be gas in my car you know regular shit. No stress its the everyday struggle and you make it happen, legally.  But has it ever occured to you black man about the dangers of your skin.  One day you could be a law-abiding citizen the next you are serving a life bid for a crime you didn't commit.  Recently I was in the 7/11 across the street from my job getting my junk food fix and the attendant asked if I have a brother who works with me.  Confused I ask him what he is talking about.

One of the greatest to ever do it...

Christopher Wallace bka The Notorious Big was killed on March 9th 1997.  An undisputed hip-hop legend with a state of the art delivery, uncanny wordplay along with a swagger as if he was the President of the United States. Today marks the 14th year since his death so to celebrate my boys @brooklynsky and @djbigreef present a Biggie mixtape for all the fans.  Click here to download. Enjoy and always dream BIG.

Wanna hide something from a nigga?

Put it in a book. - Jadakiss

Just started this book and I think you should pick it up also.

"Forty percent of the top 40 of the Forbes 400 richest Americans are Jewish"
"One -third of American multimillionaries are tallied as Jewish"
"The percentage of Jewish households with income greater than $50,000 is double that of non-Jews".

These are some interesting facts the book points out.  The author who is clearly Jewish provides the foundation of steps of obtaining and maintaining wealth between individuals of any group or background.  Let me know if you pick it up we can probably have a great conversation after we finish reading it.

Love and Hip-Hop...Reality show Hit or Miss?

Love and Hip-hop on VH1, where should I start? My beef with reality tv is no secret, check out my piece from March 2010 "The Reality of Reality TV". But you can catch me tweeting about Jersey Shore regularly now being no blacks are being lynched on that show like Bad Girls Club, Basketball Wives etc. But just when we thought shit couldn't get any worse the VH1 gods came up with the idea of giving hip-hop "girlfriends" and fuck buddies a reality show.

Product of my environment

am a product of my environment
Beef patties and cheese sunflower seeds with quarter waters
Single parent homes, mirrors show reflections of my dad yet I have no father
Would give the world to my moms yet I call my girl a bitch
Just ran a couple scams just to have money for some new kicks
Popped a few bottles even though my car note late
20 something yrs old yet my reading on the level of kids in the 4th grade
Who gives a fuck
Product of my environment
My hood is what made me
Only thing outside of that I know is Memorial Day in Miami
Bodegas, liquor stores churches on every corner
Even if I wanted change I couldn't vote for Obama
That 2 year bid took away all my civil rights
Now I'm stuck in my mom basement, on probabtion getting high
Just another product of my environment
Don't judge because this is how I live my life
Chicken wings well done
Extra duck sauce for the fried rice
But our Beef comes rare
1 thrust of my finger and your blood leaking everywhere
Yesterday you was the man
Now your baby moms shopping for tomb stones
These lil niggas now walking the street
With big guns have you clenching your butthole
Another day another memorial
Another product lost in its environment
Last raid got us hurting
Cops busted my supplier damn
Exhausted every crooked angle
So I tried to live life straight
But wifey needs Gucci
And that aint happening on minimum wage
So now I'm stuck
No way out of my environment
How can I live the American dream
When I'm looked upon as Americas nightmare
Pledge alliangance to what?
To a land where I live in fear
Big Brother, the police
Shit I'm afraid of my own peers
Because we all rats on the wheel
Chasing that same cheese
So we cut throats for corners
All while trying to stay incognito from the D's
But this is no secret
My environment is subject of the 5pm news
American emulates use as a burden
Yet some of us didn't even have a chance to choose
Just a product to what I know
Imagine if our school had new books, caring teachers
Something positive to give us hope
Money drugs and violence
My environment
All I know
To you its another statistic
But to me I call it home

For some reason I still have hope for us.

Random thoughts...

Being a human you tend to be your own worse enemy.  We have wants and desires when we get involved with an individual but these wants all come with fine print. Let’s take the bedroom for instance.  Nothing beats a freak in the bedroom.  Someone who makes your toes curl, kissing you at the right time, licking you the way you like and sucking you until the last drop. (Spitters are for quitters).  But no matter how awesome that person may be if you find out how he/she got around town and smashed the homies/homegirls your feelings towards that individual will diminish and in many cases fade completely.  Isn't it interesting that one would put their happiness aside just because of the image the hood has of that person, not because they don’t treat you like you want to be treated.  Pride and emotions can lead one to a lonely future.

She's alright but she's not real

In 2011 saying the phrase "Keep it real" is as genuine as designer clothes from Canal Street. But I'm being an advocate to revamp this phrase, specifically for the ladies.

This is unacceptable and has to stop.

the little hoe that could

The hoe is one of the biggest mysteries of the sexes. The amount of definitions is infinite and the members of the hoe community are probably in the millions. I think at one point of our life we all engage in some hoe activities but some live life as a hoe, which is unhealthy and degrading to your sex, especially women.  For example we have men offering and/or eating the vag of every female they encounter. Also we have women who walk with toothpaste and panties in their purse with hopes to go home with a complete stranger during a night on the town.  Some would look at the aforementioned activities is just someone who is just trying to "have fun" plenty of others would just say you are a hoe for engaging in these activities.  Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Personally I can't explain or care to figure out the reasoning why a hoe is a hoe it is like trying to figure out if the glass is half empty or half full.  What I would like to touch upon though is  hoe reformation. I've met and encountered reformed hoes over the years and there is a mistaken belief about entering hoetirement.  Hoes have it all backwards thinking they can just wake up one morning and decide to retire from their hoeism.
